These are some paper masks we made for a workshop at the Provand’s Lordship in Glasgow. They are based on the Tontine Heads which are stone carvings displayed in the buildings garden.Click read more to see the masks.

This workshop will be delivered by Ian Pringle. Ian is an Actor, Facilitator and Mask Maker. He trained as an actor in 2001 at the Academy Drama School in London and since leaving drama school he has worked for a number of different companies. Most notably Ian spent 5 years working for the award winning mask company Geese Theatre. During his time with Geese Ian developed his skills as a mask maker and performer training with Mike Chase and Sally Brookes. Ian approaches the creation of the mask very much from the perspective of the performer, he makes masks for life not for decoration.
