Mask Makers web into meditation
Hello dear visitors - we are sorry that we haven't had the time to maintain this wonderful site as much as we wanted for a long time.
We have been very busy and will be for yet another long time - so the site will enter into a meditation until further notice.
We will only deal with issues when we have the time.
But don't worry - the site will stay online.

Taught by Master Teachers Per Brahe & Aole T. Miller
Samsoe , Denmark
May 9, 10, 11, 12
3200 Danish Kroner
($673 USD)
Master teachers Per Brahe and Aole T. Miller offer a workshop combining mask, voice, movement, and text. The idea of using masks in actor's training is to give the actor a deep experience of the body and to unlock the creativity of the physical body and its inspiration. A freedom and release of the body and voice will result in using Per Brahe ’s masks over the four workshop days. Mask work also helps actors find an experience of working from the character’s ego without the actor’s personal judgments getting in the way.
Fitzmaurice Voicework is the combination of physical release postures in which actors are introduced to the energy of breath. They will begin to experience the power of a free torso while discovering the different passageways of breath throughout the body. When this freedom in the torso is achieved, we will then Restructure the breath to an open rib swing and transverses abdominal support to assert the improvisation of breath, sound and speaking. It is at this time that the mask work will be incorporated to extend the actor's imagination beyond average pedestrian predictable choices. They will begin to experience a freedom in the body through the incorporation of image while still being able to express themselves clearly with a deep sense of the impulse of body, voice, and imagination.
