Qoute of the moment

The challenges of my human journey? says Phill Ashbee, ?are expressed through my carvings. My art is a metaphor for my life. As I shape and mold with the materials, I exercise patience, strength and softness. My heart and ears open to the spirit of mother cedar.

Mask Makers web into meditation

Hello dear visitors - we are sorry that we haven't had the time to maintain this wonderful site as much as we wanted for a long time.
We have been very busy and will be for yet another long time - so the site will enter into a meditation until further notice.
We will only deal with issues when we have the time.
But don't worry - the site will stay online.

Are you aware of the heat activated products Fosshape and Wonderflex as potential mask making materials? I just wanted to remind folks about the heat activated materials Fosshape and Wonderflex.

Fosshape looks like a soft white felt, but when exposed to heat and pressure, it shrinks in and becomes stiff/rigid and can remain breathable as well. Dyeable and paintable plus very light weight. Available in 2 weights and comes by the yard at 45" wide.

Wonderflex is a thermoplastic and is also heat activated. It's available by the 43"x55" sheet and approx 1/16" thick. Activate in real hot water or use an industrial hot air gun and it becomes very pliable as well as activates it own built in adhesive so you can layer it up or stick it to itself. You can also re-activate by re-heating over and over until you get the shape or form desired. It also works well with most paints or artisan coatings.

You can purchase from www.dazian.com or email me at b.jeffrey@comcast.net and I'll send you free swatches to play with.
