Inspired by an ancient Irish agricultural myth of two sisters who vie for sovereignty of the seasons and the land, the production features traditional Irish folk characters called Mummers wearing tall straw masks as well as a singing cow, a cavorting lamb and a generous dragon. July, 2001 A Mummers Tale of the Seasons had its premiere public performance, by invitation, in Belfast, Northern Ireland as part of a Peace Process Project sponsored by the McCracken Summer School for Irish language and culture.
