Puppets | Commissions | Workshops | Theatre | First Night Cheryl Capezzuti is a Pittsburgh area visual artist best known for her giant puppets, which have appeared on Good Morning America! as well as at The Black Sheep Puppet Festival, The Detroit Festival of the Arts, The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, First Night Pittsburgh, and The Andy Warhol Museum. In addition to work as a puppetmaker, Capezzuti exhibits as a sculptor, painter and installation artist, designs sets, costumes and props for theatre, and teaches in school, workshop and laundromat settings. She can best be described as a community artist and visual collaborator since most of her work comes to life through collaborations with other arts professionals and communities of participants.
