Janis Stevens has been doing portraits for twenty years professionally. She has a Master of Science in Art Education from Florida International University and taught art in the Monroe County School system for ten years. As much as she loved teaching it left little time to do her own work so for the last two years she has concentrated on painting in oil and sculpting. In the last few years she has concentrated on figurative sculpture in clay and added life sized three dimensional portraits to her repertoir.
